On April 4, 2025, the Space Industry Dayin Wielkopolska took place at the headquarters of the Marshal's Office of the Wielkopolska Region. The event gathered representatives from the space sector, academia, and industry. The Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) played a significant role during this event through expert presentations and an exhibition booth showcasing its latest technologies.
PCSS Expert Presentations
PCSS experts actively participated in the event program, presenting their achievements and visions for the development of space technologies:
- Bartosz Walter, from the Data Engineering and Analytical Platforms Department, participated in the panel discussion "Poland in Space: AI, Robotics, and the Future of Space Technologies". During the panel, he discussed the potential of artificial intelligence and robotics in space exploration and future technological challenges.
- Bartosz Belter , from the Next Generation Networks Department, delivered a presentation titled "PIONIER Network Services and Infrastructure for Poland's Space Industry". His talk highlighted PSNC's involvement in building infrastructure for secure quantum communication and supporting space-related projects through the PIONIER network.
PCSS Exhibition Booth
At its exhibition booth, PCSS showcased its latest technological solutions supporting the space sector. Key highlights included:
- Mobile Robotics – The Aerospacelab team, consisting of Damian Soliwoda, Piotr Luboński, Mirosław Nawrocki, and Jan Dominiak, demonstrated the capabilities of a large wheeled robot (Robotnik) and the Husarion platform. These technologies have potential applications in planetary or lunar surface exploration.
- Network Infrastructure – Detailed information about the capabilities of the PIONIER network and projects related to quantum communication was presented by PSNC experts, emphasizing their importance for advancing Poland's space industry.
The Space Industry Day provided an excellent opportunity to showcase PSNC's potential in developing innovative technologies to support space exploration. Participation in this event strengthened PSNC's position as a key partner for the space sector at both regional and national levels.
