With the support of the Polish Department of Innovation at the Ministry of National Defense and the Krakow NATO DIANA Accelerator the NATO DIANA Defence and Security Days took place from February 4–6, 2025. This three-day event brought together experts in dual-use technology development and acceleration, defense sector end users, entrepreneurs advancing cutting-edge technologies, and investors.
Reserve Colonel Mirosław Nawrocki, płk rez. dypl. pil Mirosław NawrockiInnovation and Development coordinator at PSNC AerospaceLab, participated in the event. It provided industry representatives an opportunity to explore innovative technological solutions with dual-use potential and establish collaborations with international partners from the North Atlantic Alliance under NATO DIANA.
Key topics discussed during the event included:
- The importance of early engagement with end users.
- Validation and testing of solutions in real-world conditions—experiences from Ukraine highlight the urgent need for robust, combat-ready solutions.
- Challenges and benefits of combining commercial and defense applications for dual-use technologies
Out of over 2,400 companies applying for the second edition of the NATO DIANA program, 74 startups were selected, including four Polish winners: IS-Wireless, Blue Armada Robotics, Microamp i ResQuant Additionally, QurieGen from the Netherlands—a talented team of Polish origin working on AI-driven drug discovery—was recognized.
PSNC AerospaceLab at EPPG Kąkolewo Airport is one of seven Polish test centers selected for NATO DIANA. It offers testing capabilities in areas such as autonomy, quantum technologies, cybersecurity, AI, and big data.
A special presentation was prepared jointly with Kraków DIANA Accelerator (Krakowski Park Technologiczny and the Akademia Górniczo-HutniczaKrakow DIANA Accelerator (Krakow Technology Park and AGH University), which will officially join the program in 2026.

It is worth noting that this was not Aerospace Lab's first visit to Krakow. In early June 2024, they supported the activities of a hackathon and participated in the NATO-Ukraine Defence Innovators Forum.
