Success of the PSNC Aerospace Lab Team in the European Robotics League Competition

Last week, the European Robotics League competition, organized by Poznań University of Technology, took place at the Kąkolewo airfield. Members of the PSNC Aerospace Lab team, led by Mateusz Gajewski, participated in the event. The team's solution involved the collaboration between a wheeled robot and a drone. Both robotic platforms were equipped with powerful computing processors and VPU modules. During the tasks, various software components developed by the team were utilized, designed to be applicable in diverse scenarios. The final result was based on mapping, detection, autonomous navigation to waypoints, and the delivery of payloads (first-aid kits) to previously detected mannequins, representing injured individuals in need of first aid. The team secured second place in the team competition and received a special commendation as the best ground team in the competition. This recognition was even more remarkable as it marked the debut of the team in this type of international robotics competition.
